Der gestiefelte Kater ist eine nette Anime-Adaption des bekannten Märchens, welches sich jedoch kaum an die Vorlage hält. Vielmehr handelt es sich um ein harmloses, wild zusammengewürfeltes Zeichentrick-Abenteuer mit lustigen Tieren und viel Musik, welches in erster Linie Kinder unterhalten soll.
